Personal cash advance
What it is and what it costs.
Guide
A personal loan is a fixed amount repaid in equal monthly installments over a set term, quoted as an APR. This page covers cost, eligibility, documents and privacy, and what happens when you request one through Fast Mula rather than applying to one lender at a time.
You receive a lump sum and repay it in equal monthly payments over a term that is usually one to five years. The price is an annual percentage rate (APR) that combines interest and most fees, which makes personal loans easier to compare than products quoted as a fee or a factor. Most are unsecured (no collateral); some lenders offer secured versions against a vehicle or savings at a lower rate.
Common uses are the ones the request form lists: bills, a car or home repair, moving costs, an unexpected expense, or combining several higher-cost balances into one payment.
Lenders price on credit history, income, existing obligations and the loan size and term. APRs published by consumer lenders span a wide range, from single digits for strong files to the state's legal maximum for weaker ones, and many states cap rates on small consumer loans. An origination fee (a percentage taken out of the amount disbursed) is common: you repay the full principal while receiving less, so the effective APR is higher than the quoted interest rate, and a compliant APR disclosure already includes that fee. Late and returned-payment fees vary. The number to compare across offers is the APR plus the total repaid, not the monthly payment alone.
| Illustration (not a quote; no origination fee; equal monthly payments) | Monthly payment | Total repaid |
|---|---|---|
| $5,000 over 36 months at 12% APR | about $166 | about $5,979 |
| $5,000 over 36 months at 24% APR | about $196 | about $7,062 |
| $5,000 over 24 months at 36% APR | about $295 | about $7,086 |
Standard amortisation formula (payment = principal × monthly rate ÷ (1 − (1 + monthly rate)−months)) on the stated assumptions; your offer, if any, comes from a provider and will differ. Run your own numbers.
Providers look at steady income (employment, self-employment, benefits or retirement income all count for many), existing monthly obligations relative to that income, credit history, and your state of residence, because state law shapes which products and rates can be offered. Thin or damaged credit narrows the options and raises the price; it does not always close the door, but it should make you compare harder.
No "no credit check" loans here. The Fast Mula request involves no credit pull to submit. Any provider that later makes an offer performs its own review, which may include a credit check; we do not promise approval, an amount, a rate or a timeline.
To send a request through Fast Mula you need none: no Social Security number, date of birth, bank login, account or routing numbers, pay stubs, tax returns or bank statements. You answer a few plain questions (main use, timing, home state, and optionally your income range and current repayments).
Later, with a provider, expect the normal consumer-lending steps: identity verification, proof of income, and possibly bank-account verification for disbursement. Those happen with the provider under its own privacy policy after you have seen its written offer. Details of what we collect and share are in the privacy policy.
What Fast Mula is and isn't. Fast Mula is a funding referral service: you submit a request, a person reviews it, and with your consent qualified requests are referred to our funding partner. The amount you pick is a request, not an offer. Nothing on this site is an approval, guaranteed rate, or guaranteed timeline; any funding depends on the partner's own review and terms, which vary by state.
A personal cash advance is usually the most expensive route and should be the last one considered.

Payment and total for any APR.
What happens after you send a request.
Three minutes, plain questions, no Social Security number and no bank login to submit. A person reviews it and tells you what fits.
